HOW DOES THE COURSE WORK?
This ten month online course takes us through a seven year period of our lives each month, in the first month we tell our stories from birth to age seven, the second month from age eight to fourteen and so on. The Course should be run in small groups of 2 to 4 people and consists of 3 parts:

Part 1. Regular daily personal reflection and writing. Daily material is given out in advance to stir memories and reflections so that we can revisit and piece together our past experiences and also explore God’s involvement in them.

Part 2. Telling our stories to others in a weekly Story Circle. The Course encourages people to meet in weekly ‘Story Circles’ of two, three or four people, to share stories and memories in a convivial setting. We need tell only what we feel comfortable to in this group, as there is no pressure to reveal what is sensitive.

Part 3. is a Personal Day Retreat once a month. On this regular day of each month the issues pertinent to the seven year period under consideration are worked with. This includes meditations and exercises. This can be done alone or with others doing the same material.

The eight stages of development identified by Erik Eriksen form the framework of each of the day retreats.
